A community education course on financial counseling will be offered at UA Hope-Texarkana

The University of Arkansas Hope-Texarkana will offer a series of community education classes on financial counseling this fall at the Texarkana and Hope campuses. The four-day course series will teach students about topics such as achieving financial goals, money issues for women, the cost of college, how to outsmart scammers and social security.

The course is given by Gary Klein, Financial Advisor. Klein has worked in financial management for over twenty years and is a Level Seven Advisor. He currently holds a Series Seven General Securities License, Non-Uniform Combined State Law License of 66 series, an Accredited Asset Management Specialist (AAMS) designation from the College of Financial Planning, and a life and health insurance license.

Classes will be held on the Texarkana campus on September 19 and 26 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and on the Hope campus on November 8 and 15 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The cost of the course is $15 per session or $50 for all four sessions.
