(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) PARIS, June 29 (KUNA) — Education Minister Dr. Ali Al-Mudhaf said on Wednesday that Kuwait is preparing major projects and initiatives aimed at continuing the development of the education system in Kuwait by increasing the indicators to international levels.
This emerged from Minister Al-Mudhaf’s statement to Kuwit News Agency (KUNA) and Kuwaiti Television on the occasion of attending the pre-summit of the Education for Transformation Summit Conference ( 2022) organized by UNESCO in Paris, the French capital.
He added that it was a prelude to the summit scheduled for September, at the start of the planned United Nations General Assembly, to be held in New York.
Dr. Al-Mudhaf pointed out that a large part of Kuwait’s budget is devoted to the development of the education sector, which stems from the particular interest of political leaders in Kuwait in education, as it is a cornerstone of nation building.
He stressed that the ministry is ready to present the preliminary results, the national negotiations and the country’s commitment to transform education, in preparation for the summit.
The Minister deepened the important axes that the conference will deal with, in particular the experience of covid-19, the reforms and the technical and financial assistance granted to countries in need.
The education minister added that the government will issue a statement in August explaining the country’s vision and goals for the upcoming summit.
The pre-summit kick-off for the Education for Transformation Summit (2022) kicked off at UNESCO Headquarters on Tuesday with the participation of over 140 education ministers and education leaders. education.
Kuwait is participating in the big gathering with a delegation led by the Minister of Education, Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Ali al-Mudhaf.
