Ministry of Education opens five new schools with international and sustainable standards in Qatar

The Ministry of Education and Higher Education has opened five new preparatory and secondary schools for boys and girls in a number of population centers across the country, to provide the best possible educational experience for students and to reach Qatar Development Goals and National Vision 2030. .

The new schools will begin to receive students with the start of the new school year 2022-2023, each school being able to accommodate 786 students of which 36 have special needs, divided into 6 classes, and the remaining students (750 students) divided into 30 rooms of class.

The schools stand out for their modern buildings that unite with the education system to facilitate the work of the administrative and pedagogical bodies and make the educational process smoother and richer for the students. Each school includes a gym, theater, science labs, art studios, computer labs, outdoor playgrounds, in addition to an air-conditioned meeting yard and dedicated parking.

The ministry has been keen to implement the country’s sustainability standards when constructing schools, as it has used environmentally friendly materials to ensure the classification of new school buildings as green buildings according to national standards, while implementing safe and secure conditions and ensuring easy access. for people with special needs.

Coinciding with the opening of the schools, HE Minister Buthaniya bint Ali Al-Nuaimi issued a ministerial decision appointing the principals of the five new schools, namely Said Abdel Hadi Saad Luthain as Principal of the Amr Ibn Boys Secondary School Al-Aas located in Al- Wakra region and affiliated with its municipality, and Gamal Mohamed Yakoub Al Jaber as the principal of the Talha bin Obaid Allah preparatory school for boys, located in the Rawdat Al Hamama region of the municipality of ‘Al Daayen, and Maryam Khalaf Naser Hattab Al Kaabi Principal of Ramla Bint Abi Sufyan Secondary School for Girls located in Umm Salal Muhammad Ward of Umm Salal Municipality, and Shaikhah Jubran Said Al Mazarkah Al Shahrani Principal of Hind Bint Amr Al-Ansaria Girls’ Preparatory School, located in Bufasilah district of Umm Salal Municipality, and Hassan Abdallah Mohamed Saleh Al Abdallah Director of Saeed Bin Boys’ Preparatory School Zaid located in Al-Wukair district of Al-Wakra municipality.

It should be noted that the five schools opened by the Ministry are part of the PPP schools project and are part of a total of eight schools for the first batch that will be opened thanks to this partnership.
