The Ministry of Education and Higher Education, in cooperation with Qatar Research Development and Innovation Council and Qatar Science and Technology Park, announced the launch of National Science Research and Innovation Week activities , under the slogan “Promising Researchers for Qatar”. , with the participation of all teachers and students of public and private schools.
Among the flagship activities of the National Week of Scientific Research and Innovation, the finalists of the 135 preparatory and secondary research projects, divided into eight categories: Biomedicine, engineering, computer and communication systems, earth and environment, chemistry and materials science, botany and animal sciences, behavioral and social sciences, energy, physics and mathematics, and approximately 270 students from 100 middle and high schools participate.
The ministry said final qualifications for participating research projects, which are the product of internal school exhibitions in which students compete in various scientific fields, will be held Oct. 2-5.
In addition to the finalists, training workshops will be organized, sponsored and organized by Shell, targeting scientific research coordinators and supervisors accompanying students, and implemented by Shell’s leading global program for science, technology, engineering and mathematics “NXplorers” in the company. laboratories, in addition to a technical presentation of the water and salt car project, while the Qatar Scientific Club participates in a workshop on practical innovation in education, presented by its executive director, engineer Rashid Hussein Al-Rahimi.
The ministry noted that an exhibition of the winning research in the first three places in various research competitions will be held on October 12, in addition to honoring the students who won the partners’ research, which includes “the research of the Qatar Scientific Club , the Research of the National Road Safety Committee, Ministry of the Interior, and the research of the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy, in the presence of representatives of each entity, the closing ceremony will take place the next day to honor the three winning research projects within the framework of the competition.
