The Osaseyi Foundation partners with the Kogi Ministry of Education and facilitates scholarship programs in 20 selected schools across Ijumu LGA

In collaboration with the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology of Kogi State, Osaseyi Foundation has awarded scholarship to students from selected schools in Ijumu local government area of ​​the state .

The scholarship was given to top performers from twenty selected schools across Ijumu LGA with the help of the state Department of Education during a program held at Iyara Town Hall on Thursday.

The program titled “Promoting Science Education and Technologically Encouraging the Next Generation in All Public Schools in Ijumu Local Government Area” also saw five students from the selected schools benefit from the scholarship programs after satisfying to the stipulated criteria put in place by the management team of the Foundation.

The five students from each school, a sum of one hundred beneficiaries, who were lucky enough to have become beneficiaries received with immediate effect a scholarship for the payment of tuition fees for one term by the Foundation, and ten thousand naira each to use for educational consumables in their respective schools.

The scholarship programs overlap with the category of high schools where the best students were selected from SS1 to SS3. The top math and science student also received a scholarship and stipends for their books and study materials.

Exercise books marked with the Osaseyi Foundation logo were also distributed to all students and schools attending the program, to encourage them to do more in their studies.

The teachers of these selected schools were not left out; as the Osaseyi Foundation, for the first time in the history of the education system of Kogi State, has decided to reward teachers who have distinguished themselves by making an impact on the basic knowledge of their students.

The sum of fifty thousand naira each was awarded to the best teacher among the twenty schools present.

In total, the Osaseyi Foundation granted the sum of one million naira to encourage twenty teachers in the Ijumu local government area.

To commend the good work the Foundation is doing in the state, especially in terms of education and empowerment, the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology of Kogi State issued a letter of congratulations signed by the Commissioner, the Honorable Wemi Jones, to congratulate and appreciate the Foundation. and the founder, Mr. Richard Osaseyi for giving back to society through a sensitive and impactful channel.
