Workshop on compiling and publishing textbooks organized by the Ministry of Education | Education

Students attend the textbook exhibition

A workshop and an exhibition of general education textbooks were organized to assess the results of the compilation, evaluation, publication and distribution of the textbooks. In addition, a comparison and evaluation will be specifically made to show the difference between the previous compilation, evaluation, publication and publication of manuals and the implementation of the current socialization policy so that the responsible agencies have proposals and solutions in the following years.

Exhibition activities include displaying and presenting the development history of Vietnam’s textbooks through periods such as 1957, 1981, 2002 and 2020. During the event, textbooks from some countries in the region and the world such as Laos, Thailand, Malaysia, Japan, Korea, China, France, Russia and England have been exhibited. In addition, a number of textbooks that have won national awards and e-textbooks of current book series were also publicly displayed at the event.

In addition to presenting textbooks from Vietnam and the world, the exhibition also provides comparative information on the specifications of Vietnamese textbooks and textbooks from other countries according to a number of specific criteria; along with this is to introduce practical activities with manuals implemented by some countries around the world.

The General Education Textbook Seminar was held on the same day to assess the results of the compilation, evaluation, publication, selection and use of general education textbooks. On this basis, suggestions and solutions will be offered to improve the quality of the compilation, publication and use of general education textbooks.

The policy of calling for social contributions for the compilation of textbooks has mobilized many organizations, teachers, scientists and education experts to participate in the compilation of the textbooks.

The Ministry of Education and Training found that the textbook socialization policy had mobilized many organizations, as well as many teachers, scientists and education experts to participate in the compilation of textbooks.

Implementing the textbook compilation policy in accordance with National Assembly Resolution No. 88/2014, the Ministry of Education and Training has so far approved textbooks for use in educational institutions by the Minister of Education and Training for grades 1, 2, 3, 6, 7 and 10. The textbooks for grades 4, 8 and 11 are being evaluated and the textbooks for grades 5, 9 and 12 organizations, personally, are being compiled. The policy of calling for social security contributions for the production of school textbooks has been a success.

The Ministry will listen to opinions to improve the quality of textbooks.

The pictures and materials contained in the textbooks will be effective lessons to reduce the cost of the textbooks.

The Ministry of Education and Training will also provide more textbooks and reference books to school libraries, ensuring that teachers and students have enough textbooks and reference materials in the process of teaching, as well as reusing textbooks to ensure efficiency and savings.
